Anti WiFi-Paint

Deep in the dungeons of the University of Tokyo, researchers have created a wall paint that blocks wifi signals. As you’ll read in this BBC news article this ground-breaking discovery could bring about massive improvements in home network security, some medical settings and even movie theaters.

Just—My—Type—Of—Typeface—…-No—Really—!

Just—My—Type is the virtual home for a range of wonderfully illustrative typefaces by Jacob Nylund. Typefaces come in the form of capitalised Latin alphabet glyphs (Illustrator AI format).

26-year-old Nylund, is a Swedish Art Director living in London. Previous projects include the online Cadburys ‘Glass And A Half Full Productions’ campaign [collaboration with North Kingdom & Fallon].

Each of Nyland’s typographic experimentations can be downloaded for free and applied in any way, shape or form without restriction — what a nice chap.

Google Chrome OS revealed

Google provided their faithful with a sneak-peak of their upcoming Chrome Operating System at a low-key event, earlier this month.

The entire system is web-based and runs in the Chrome browser — right down to USB drive contents, which show up in a browser tab, and the notepad, which actually creates a Google Docs document.

They’re keeping pretty tight-lipped about when and how it will go to market. I like the concept though and will definitely think about giving it a spin on my under-used Dell laptop when it’s released.

Wired Magazine’s Tablet App

Who takes Apple’s rumored touchscreen tablet seriously? Wired’s parent company Condé Nast.

Wired Managzine looks set to become the first publication to produce re-purposed digital content for display on upcoming tablet devices, including the Apple Slate (if it indeed materialises). Keep an eye out for the animated info-graphic around the 30 second mark.
