Brian Burns

I'm Brian Burns — a Belfast-based designer, writer, tutor and content strategist.

During the day, I study MA Multidisciplinary Design at the University of Ulster's Belfast Campus. My area of study focuses on content strategy and emerging forms of digital content delivery.

I'm part of Optic, along with Danny Turley and Jonny Campbell. I also help to teach on the Interactive Design undergraduate programme at UU.

Outside of the studio, I spend my time training for and playing football, attending local and international design events and having a beer or six with friends, associates and accomplices. Most of the time my iPod plays indie rock.

I find myself being constantly inspired by the likes of: Ryan Sims, Tim van Damme, Jeff Jarvis, Khoi Vinh, Naz Hamid, Nicholas Felton, Oliver Reichenstein, Robert Lindstrom, Jonathan Ive and many other talented designers, writers, thinkers, et all.
